Speaker Bio

A native Calgarian, Helene Wood is a committed and enthusiastic person with 21 years’ experience in the Insurance Industry in Personal Lines, Farm & Commercial. She has hands on experience working for a company, broker and brokerage. She has a very positive attitude and her strengths include communication, creativity, initiative and problem solving. Her accomplishments including receiving the Instructor of The Year Award from the Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta in 1999. Her previous training experience includes her past position with ATOZ Educational Services Inc. as Chief Facilitator/Vice President and several years as an Instructor with the Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta.

Part of her consulting accomplishments include completing a Time Management study for the claims department for a large insurance company and completing an Efficiency Assessment for a leading brokerage.

Academically she obtained her Certificate in Business Management in 1985, her CIP Designation in 1995 and completed a Train the Trainer Seminar as well.
